CATERPILLAR OR BUTTERFLY? 🦋
For a caterpillar to transform into a butterfly it has to stop the intake of food, hang upside down from a leaf, form a cocoon or protective sheath around itself, undergo changes internally for a period ranging from a few days to even years and then finally emerge as a butterfly by breaking free from the cocoon after immense patience and struggle. Had nature not designed this process of struggle and transformation, the caterpillar would never experience and enjoy life as a butterfly – free spirited, liberated, vibrant and beautiful!
Just like the struggles in a caterpillar’s life – nature places certain situations, struggles and adversities in our lives too so that we change, evolve, improve and become stronger than before. Contrary to preconceived notions and popular belief, our struggles are not our enemies but are mediums to uplift us and help us grow. The adversities and unfavorable situations we receive remove unwanted elements from our life, break our mental conditions, push us out of our comfort zones, prepare us for a beautiful future and help us transform into the unimaginable. So, instead of asking God to eliminate struggles from life we should pray for the strength and skills to endure them, overcome them and cross them with joy. Whether we want to live life as a complaining caterpillar or a beautiful butterfly is completely up to us.
