High Expectations- major cause for disappointment
High and undue expectations are the major cause for our irritation, anger, disappointment and depression. Normally our expectations with everybody, be it with spouse, parents, children, servants or employees are so high that it rarely gets satisfied thus making us feel bad. Even matters unrelated to us and not in our control (traffic, violence, govt. rules etc) too find a place in the ambit of our expectations, so much so that, we get enough reasons to feel bad on every occasion. The lesser we expect the more the more we experience peace, joy, efficiency, productivity and good things in life. Reduce expectations and enjoy life.

  EXPERIANCE SHARING

‘I used to expect a lot with everybody in the family and when they were not meeting my expectation I used to get angry. I became B.P patient and felt depressed most of the days. My life was terrible. When I reduced my expectations I find lot of changes in my life. B.P is in control, everybody is respecting me more than ever, I sleep well and children have become friendly with me. Now I have realized what life is, in real sense.’

Q: Without high expectations how can we perform to optimum and make others too perform well. Won’t we be settling for less than what we deserve by reducing expectations?
