  Flexible Body

Flexibility of body helps in maintaining physical health, keeps the mind cool & temperament in check. Rigidity of body leads to rigid mind, irritation & restlessness.

The following may help in keeping the body flexible.

Through Exercises:

  • Walking, Jogging, Sports, Games, Aerobics etc.,
  • Muscle freeing, light exercises of neck, lower back, hands, legs etc.,

Through YOGASANAS

  • Surya Namaskar
  • Ardh Matsyendrasana
  • Paschimotanasana
  • Dhanurasana/Chakrasana
  • Padmasana
  • Savasana

Other Yogasanas could also be practiced under the supervision of a yoga teacher.
Take rest for 1 minute after every yogasana. In case of any discomfort while practicing yogasanas, the same should be stopped immediately & refer to physician/yoga teacher

Through Other means:

  • Proper bed and pillow management to avoid morning stiffness in the body and to avoid cervical spondylysis & lumbar spondylosis problems.
  • Avoid sitting, bending, standing for long periods at one place in one posture. Change postures, place & relax intermittently.
